What do you think?
Superman
Character » Superman appears in 18941 issues.
Sent to Earth as an infant from the dying planet Krypton, Kal-El was adopted by the loving Kent family and raised in America's heartland as Clark Kent. Using his immense solar-fueled powers, he became Superman to defend mankind against all manner of threats while championing truth, justice, and the American way!
What kind of music do you think he would listen to?
Country music I suppose.
He's a belieber.
lol
Clark has stated that he collects cd of Metallica to Connor. Although he has also stated to like other kinds of music under different authors I just can’t remember the examples

I get that he probably grew up with them, but Metallica is such a weird pull. A bit much for a guy like Clark.
@saintwildcard: I think that’s the point. The fact that it’s not expected makes him not what people assume he is. He goes on about how he isn’t the Boy Scout people think he is and then mentioned that stuff. So he’s less of a stereotype or something
@rdclip: Agreed. Superman would definitely appreciate and understand subtlety and nuance. Also, I do remember that he destroyed Darkseid's multiversal spirit with a song in Final Crisis 7.
I know in Superman III he listens to Chuck Berry's "Roll Over, Beethoven" and The Penguins' "Earth Angel" at the Smallville high school reunion. Maybe some early rock and roll.I remember an issue back in the 90s where he and Jimmy were talking about Big Audio Dynamite. In the Ruby Spears cartoons, he was into classical disco. Think "Hooked On The Classics" - classical music set to disco beats. That was a hilarious scene by the way, his tapes got knocked into the water and he goes "Wow, I guess they really don't like classical disco!". He's Been to the opera with Lois, has a CD of the Beastie Boys, Listens to Metalica, once got a "Toto" song stuck in his head, Clark's favorite song is "Star Dust" in the early golden age of comics. In the scan where Supes hovers above Metropolis, using his Matt Murdock-levels of sound perception to scan the city for trouble. Miles away, he hears a woman practicing a song he recognizes — one part goes “La La La La Laaaaa” but dagnabbit, Superman can’t recall its name.
“It’s just about the most beautiful thing I have ever heard,” thinks Superman. “What is this song?” It was ‘The Passenger’ by Siouxsie And The Banshees.
There are probably many more examples but these were what I could find on such short notice. The comic scans also have lyrics to songs I haven't heard but hey someones bound to figure it out.
@sog7dc: I'm with you %100 there. He has super hearing that lets him hear basically anything and everything on Earth. He's gonna have eclectic tastes. Also, pardon the pun, but I think his favorite classic rock band would be Kansas.
