Honestly can't bring myself to single anyone out. Lately it seems like the writers of all the super books have come together to deliver a lackluster story.

While I hate on Pak a lot, that's because I feel he can deliver and he is a competent writer, same with Tomasi and Yang. So when they don't deliver its way more painful. But at the end of the day, even their worst stories will just be forgotten (except Truth, it will stay in infamy).

Lobdell though, he made sure everything he touched become untouchable. Brainiac, Doomsday. He wrote his fan-fiction and effectively made them difficult for any other writer to write them again.

For someone else to re-use Brainiac and make him interesting they need to either ret-con or reboot him, Doomsday the same, Smallville had needed one arc from Pak and the mess still isn't cleaned.

It's been a bit of a poisoned chalice, but I remember being stoked for Truth and after a few chapters it let me down badly, so I'll go with Yang.

The fact that they aren't giving Superman solo stories is worse than all the writers combined.

Yang is absolutely horrible. I haven't read a single issue of his that I've enjoyed.

Lobdell at least had solid concepts but poor execution.

Perez had a solid first 2 issues.

Every other writer has been decent or great

There was one issue when Superman newly discovered his solar flare attack. Superman does it in the WatchTower and after he does it Batman smiles and holds Superman's face in his hands and calls him "big guy" and they all go out for drinks where Clark gets drunk....i can get scans if anyone wants to see this.

basically IMO thats the worst superman writing I've ever witnessed in my life, heck thats the worst overall writing I've witnessed
