That definitely is the best way to sum it up: I can't believe how much I'm enjoying a Superman comic book. It's been a really stellar book. Can't wait to see how it ends.

I'm disappointed with how many Kryptonians they just wiped out mercilessly.

Exactly its just a TERRIBLE plot device to kill all the Kryptonians- Sad and weak writing. Every time there are more than 5 or 6 Kryptonians you have to find some stupid way to kill them all off Mark my words.

@FoxxFireArt: read it before Judging, this is the best event in comics right now. far superior to, Brightest Day, Blackest Night, Necrosha, Siege, or Second Coming.
    it's epic.

Luthor sends a rocket via a small transversable wormhole to the sun changing it red by using the carcass of the fake deity Rao.

The sun wouldn't wipe out the galaxy.

Anyway, Luthor used the body of a God to change the frequency of the radiation to one that would weaken and kill Kryptonians.  Considering that he used a corpse of a deity and didn't make up some random bomb, it's not weak writing, especially when the deity is a Sun God.

I'm loving War of the Supermen, and I'm really, really glad everything is developing as it is. I've been feeling that Superman comics were becoming too "overcrowded" with Kryptonians, Kryptonian Gods and whatever. I like him being the Last Son, not one in a million. I can hardly wait to see how it ends today =D

Great review.  Alright, so all of the past three years of Superman-related stories in his books are coming to a head today.  I can't wait.

What a sweet suprise it was to wake up, log on, and see that there's an "Unscripted" about a comic DIRECTLY related to Superman.  I've seen video reviews for Supergirl and Power Girl, and even Superboy...but hopefully there will be more to come related to The Man of Steel--who is DC Comics, did I mention that?

This series easily could've been twice as long. As G-Man said, I would've liked to see more from other characters in the DCU. This is a great comic though, and everything that led to it is amazing Superman content.

Good review! Good series! Next issue coming out today :)

Really liking War of the Supermen.  This whole New Krypton Saga has been really really interesting!!  The cliffhangers have been intense on this issue. Excited for the resolution.

i like the art of the series which kept me as well as the story until luthor suddenly becomes a mad scientist fiddles with a dead corpse that he used to insert into a rocket then blasts the sun red then all krypton people slowly die or just died. mean they are supermen women that is faster then a speeding bullet they could got to earth in seconds then they died just before they got close to earth. what who writes this crap why didn't they send the city back to the bottle then let the legion take it with them to the future. legion had the phantom zone open up in the future. guess general lane got what he wanted he don't like aliens powerful then human technology.
