So I've seen people bash the new look, and a poll on the new look. What I'm trying to figure out is what type of story are they going to be telling with this. "They're shaking up the the status quo."

My first thoughts have me worried:

Secret revealed.

De-powered.

Replaced.

Depressed.

All 4??????

What do others think the story will revolve around? Are you excited to see some creative story telling for a 76 year old character? IMO good stories can trump costumes and designs. (I still need good art though....not a fan of JRJR)

Due to Super Flare he stays depowered to probably GA level,

Enemies attack him and his friends and with the lack of personal life, he becames more angsty than ever.

@squalleon: everything points toward this direction. You don't think they're being at all cryptic? I would certainly hope for a greater twist or reasoning to the story. Others have mentioned that New52 Supes dies and is replaced by an older/alternative version.

I wonder if this has something to do with Supes being tricked by Bats as stated in the pages of Futures End. It would explain why he looks bigger/slightly older. We don't really know the time line for when this takes place. It seems like most of the stories are wrapping up before Convergence, so this could be at a later date than the solar flare.

i think that probably this Superman will die:

and so our Clark will get his shirt for some reason maybe in order to pay homage to the guy.

Then i don't think Superman will be depowered since the effects of the solar flare just last one day......but it's possible that Convergence will happen all in that day nevertheless.

Then i wonder when we'll see Superman with his edited custume,maybe after this "truth" storyline?
