Why? *Batman and his devious plans. *If you can control Superman you could control the world (Max knew it, even Eclipso knows it), *Kryptonite Man (so underused, underrated and just dangerous), *Parasite can drain him, Lex and his fdevious plans, *Doomsday (well initial Doomsday, nowadays he's overused and kinda redundant) and *Black Adam who is the magical evil version of himself
What about Doomsday? Superman craps his pants everytime if only his name is mentioned? he has a subconscious fear of Doomsday because he killed Supes (much like Batman was afraid of Bane after he broke his back).

Dan Jurgens kept switching between Doomsday and Henshaw but he eventually settled on the latter.
Cyborg Superman > All of Superman's other foes. But Lex Luthor, General Zod, Brainiac, & Mongul are darn good as well. Darkseid should be a JLA/Cosmic Villain, not tied down to a lone hero, even if it's Superman.
@termiteone4ever: But in most incarnations he's been simply a trickster, using his powers to mess with Superman but never destroy him. When Joker got a hold of Mxy's powers he used them to bend the universe to his liking. So Joker with Mxy's powers is dangerous. Mxy himself is not.

I agree, as Lobo always beat man of steel in hand to hand combat.But I will still choose Parasite, as the most scariest enemy, because I have never seen Superman in that terrible shocking when parasite bitting/ sucking him on neck.
@Primmaster64: Powerful yes. Dangerous no. His reality warping powers would make him a danger if they were in the hands of someone more evil or destructive. Mxyzptlk is still an immature sprite who delights in practical jokes and aggravating Superman, not in taking over the world or destroying it. Aside from his incarnation in "Whatever happened to the Man of Tomorrowl?" Mxy has never committed truly evil acts in the way other members of Superman's rogues gallery have.
@Primmaster64: Well a bit dangerous yes. But not as dangerous as say Darkseid or Lex Luthor. They are willing to do things to Superman that Mxy wouldn't dream of as his acts often involve a more comical edge to them. If someone more evil minded or destructive had those powers, then that would make them a more deadly threat than what Mxy currently is.
