I don't want to give any spoilers for people who are currently completing the quest Superman's Flings under the set Super Quest, but this quest is really giving me a hard time. I guess I've never been a Superman dude, personally, so I shouldn't blame myself, but darnit, I want to be smart enough to solve this.
I have four out of five of Superman's flings. I will list them in a way that is mysterious and does not give away all of the answers.
1. One of the many women who sports an alliterative name, but this is the only one who shared a television program title with Clark.
2. Another alliterative woman, familiar to viewers of Smallville, or perhaps just citizens of Smallville.
3. (Wow, this one has an alliterative name too.) One of the big three. Nuff said.
4. A mermaid. That's what every description of this woman has in parenthesis behind it. A mermaid.
But who is number five. I'm mostly just musing to myself. I don't want someone to just give me the answer of course. At least, not directly. Is there something that I could read where I could learn something about Superman's love life (and I'm not talking about whether or not he has to use a Kryptonite condom)?
Superman
Character » Superman appears in 18939 issues.
Sent to Earth as an infant from the dying planet Krypton, Kal-El was adopted by the loving Kent family and raised in America's heartland as Clark Kent. Using his immense solar-fueled powers, he became Superman to defend mankind against all manner of threats while championing truth, justice, and the American way!
Superman's Love Interests
Maybe #5 is a certain alien queen who was very interested in Superman (appeared both in Superman : Animated Series and Smallville)?

That's what I was gonna say! :P
If there's a #6 ... it could be: a fellow Kryptonian with (yet another!) alliterative name who has only appeared in alternate realities and has been written separately by 2 legendary comics writers (Jerry Siegel and Alan Moore)
@tbone1225 Ok who is the fifth person. You mentioned some Kryptonian Terraforge worker who makes earthquakes. I can find no one

Who cares????? There's only three who truly mattered, lasts, endures: Lois Lane, Lana Lang, and Lori Lemaris. THAT IS IT.
Not that the other two counts when it comes to today, of course. To me, since Clark's initial engagement to her in 1990, Lois, and only Lois. It really was unnessesary to retcon out their marriage, since we all know, whoever else Clark / Superman might be "courting" in her place in the near future, will indeed be only fated to fail.
But still, let Lana and Lori eternally have their special moments while they had them in various points of Super-mythos nevertheless: Lori in your back issue of Silver Age Superman, even as recent as Superman volume two number thirteen, and Lana, the Silver Age, Man of Steel miniseries, and the initial seasons of Smallville.
