Yes, but that doesn't mean the age was one of them. He only reveals his age as an off comment. It wasn't deliberate like the scene when he floats out of Zod's ship or when he's talking to the priest and the Jesus window/picture thing is hanging above his shoulder.

Yes I think there was an obvious symbolism, espc the scene he had with the reverend in the church before he revealed himself..

Both 33 and both fictional characters with superpowers, I see the symbolism.
