I'm speculating that he could be an incarnation of one of the Kryptonian Batman and Robin-esque duo, Nightwing and Flamebird,as a random factoid, It was because Superman told Robin that the name resulted in being chosen for his later crime-fighting persona in the original continuity, not sure if this still applies or if those characters are even still in DCs memory or the new 52 continuity for that matter

So I was just wondering if anyone else thinks he'll end up being a new incarnation of a previous character, or if he's really just a new character.The reason I'm speculating this is there appears to be some kind of symbol on his chest which resembles some sort of bird or bat-like creature, its hard to tell because its always sending out red energy.

On top this he also had a pretty deep understanding of how Supes abilities will develop in the future, though I can't explain wraiths additional powers like phasing/invisibility, but then again Superman developing new and occasionally pretty random abilities is nothing new, the whole silverage of Superman comics pretty much depended on the mentality that he could just come up with powers on the spot. "Super-dancing" when he was listening to the Beatles playing live, is probably one of the best examples.

Anyway, I'd like to hear what suggestions you, a member of the community have to offer!
