First i just want to say about the Superman Returns; My favourite part about that is 1 image, where Superman is hovering over the earth with his eyes closed listening to what ever danger he can stop. Space on one side the Earth on the other with him in the centre with his cape floating backwards. Its basically on a angle above Superman.

someone let me know if im close to something already done, this is fairly close to the idea of doomsday, just with a more religious twist to it.

but what if satan/lucifer/the devil rose to earth because superman was upsetting the balance of people dying at the hands of evil. and satan was some badass with real cool powers or even 'magic' that would rival supermans over-exaggurated abilities.

is their a comic out there similar to this, if so let me know pls.

you could say magical, but not overly unbeleivable. satan is beleivable to a point and there is a ton of mystical and metaphorical yet RELAVENT crap they could throw into this movie

yes, thats what my friend said. he don't know much about comics. but knows that Superman is poweful. and needs to fight stronger characters or be constently busy. and i wouldn't be much harm to show a little of Clark Kent. But i wont Doomsday and Bizzaro in the movie. and Lex doing something big. three baddies will do me. or Brainiac instead of Lex.

because christopher reeves is a gun. and it was the first time you'd seen superman in a live action movie, same as why spiderman and x-men got so much attention. they'll continue more spiderman in 2 or 3 decades, probably have awesome effects, but no one will care as much.

But just picture it... Superman vs. Lex Lucifer

Satan arises in search of the most evil person alive on the planet to take their form to reek havoc and bring balance to the amount of lives saved by superman. Of course, Kal-El cant resist, so he comes in to save the day, only to find its no ordinary Lex this time.

But if you're completely sick of lex luther, we can go for just plain old satan played by jude law or someone.

yes please. no lex, again ever. i like the idea of him in the comics but he really isnt any kind of a match for superman. superman's so powerful you could have five or six members of the legion of doom in the movie to fight him. you could spend most of the movie introducing them and showing what they can do while superman's clarking it up and spending time with lois and maybe getting in a few battles with the villains one on one, only to get knocked unconscious, trapped in the phantom zone or something at the end of the movie and surprise surprise there's another movie coming out to show the second part! that would be cool."

i just want to see something new like we all know that he can fly past the sound barrier but he can go so much faster. i would like him to battle at speeds near light. while everyone else is stood still. maybe Flash just runs past them or something. :D

almost beat superman = entertaining yet predictable

movie = $$$ for DC

well the best thing about superman movies is the villian doesnt die!! I hate comic movies killing off great villians. I really like lex or more so like the idea that theres nothing more dangerous than an evil mind.

As far as superman and religon I think they do go hand in hand. The man basically plays the role of a "savior" sent by his "father". it doesnt get more religous than that. thats what I loved about kingdom come there was so much religous tones in it that the whole story felt epic on a religous scale. I think the main thing I want to see in all comic movies is the relationship with other heros and basically stating they exist.

I think its kinda silly to have and epic batman or superman movie without them helping eachother. sure if bats is just saving gotham for joker fine but anything where your saving the "world" your gonna need help.

Zod would be the best villian though

He was good. It's just too bad Superman was made out to be such a jerk. First he's a deadbeat dad. Then he tries breaking up Lois and her dude while he has to assume that the guy is the father of her son. Real class there.

From what I read online, it didn't sound like it was his choice. Not sure why. Didn't pretty much everyone like him as Superman but just had some issues with the story of the movie? I remember the interviews with him. He seemed excited about getting the part. Who cares about being typecast. I'd say it'd be more of an honor to be able to play Superman, especially after Christopher Reeve.

Maybe he was just so annoyed with that kid in the movie.

I haven't read anything official. Hopefully it is just a rumor. Not sure how I feel about Bryan Singer though.

That actor dude never gets a break. First Jean flirts around with Wolverine. Lois leaves him for Superman. He lost the girl in "The Notebook" (my girlfriend's favorite movie). Lost his girl to Patrick Dempsy in Enchanted. He's always second choice.
