I really enjoyed these issues by Jurgens and I'm wondering if anyone knows of any good stories or arcs featuring Supes and Helspont

Those issues are the first appearance of Helspont in the DCU.

He appeared once more.That plot was dropped and forgotten.

But I have a feeling that Jurgens might continue it in Lois and Clark.

@squalleon: What makes you say that? I think he sound perfect for Superman to go up against but is that a hunch or did someone mention him in an interview?

I don't know, same writer, the first issue features a variant from Tony Daniel's and Andy Diggle's dropped run, Superman even wears a similar suit.

Its just that feeling in the back of my mind that they are gonna revisit some old plots. I don't have any evidence or strong clues, just a feeling.

It was an excellent idea that was dropped for no good reason.

Instead of Ulysses and Truth arcs we should have gotten a Helspont arc.

I was actually think about this earlier today, I know lobdell planted seeds to do a hellspont story arc the way he did with krypton apperomg for a minutes then dissaperong and thank god that story went know where. Also thank god for lobdell not wroteing hellspont because it would have been long boring and have no point what so fucking ever.

I was moments away from cheering aloud, thinking (for some bizarre reason) that someone found out Helspont was coming back. *sigh*
