Really so lets just pretend Cadmus Labs hasn't been making crap or finding ways to kill superman for how many years, or the super soldiers they have locked up in their closet. Oh lets just ignore Star Labs too, yeah lets forget what crap they did to try and find ways to kill superman. Lets just forget about LexCorp and Lex Luthors people that obviously have secrets to killing and maiming superman. Lets not forget Bruno Mannheim and his gang of Apokolipian wielding super-powered gangsters running around and the most powerful mob he controls in Metropolis that superman cant deal with Intergang. -_- Yeah lets forget these guys last time i checked superman doesn't need thugs he needs scientist and government sponsored super soldiers created by said scientist of Cadmus or Star Labs to kill him. Oh are we forgetting General Sam Lane and his army regiment that has the villain Atlas has there Juggernaut that have been trying to take out Superman for years and in some comics resulted in the creation of Parasite and Metallo.

Not gonna buy Superman has no "thugs" argument to be honest and the whole he will fight robots ( Cadmus doesn't make robots last time i check they genetically engineer this) Either the people saying this forgot or don't really know anything about Superman's universe. Not directed at comic book fans just some ignorant people that have limited knowledge on Superman cause there is a truth people must understand even though Superman is popular people don't know crap about his universe. Superman's universe is just has massive has the batman universe. What to hear some of your thoughts cause its bugging me.

No i am being sarcastic at the people saying why a superman game cant work cause he has no thugs to fight. This is why I brought up Cadmus Labs and such because I was being sarcastic and I think its a load of BS that people say he has no "thugs" like batman has in the Arkham games.

I'm not sure if there were many people who believed that it would be impossible to find a way to create hapless mooks for Superman to beat up within the constraints of the DC universe.

Cadmus Labs, STAR Labs, LexCorp , Bruno Mannheim Intergang are the only ones in Metropolis that have the resources to give superman a run for his money. Brainaic is easy because of his drones but i wouldn't put him in the first game, yes i am against putting already superman's cosmic villains from the get go that is franchise suicide. Just wasted the sequel or future games IMO, but anyway thats just how i see it Metropolis will be different from Gotham and my brother has a interesting theory that it is likely Lex Luthor is President in this universe or Arkhamverse. Sorry but Only Lex would convince Gothams city council to shut up about Protocol 10 and allow Sharp authorization to build Arkham City. Lex has worked with Ras before so this would be a very easy connection.

Uh.. If I understood that correctly, there's always LexCorp robots, Apokaliptian Parademons, STAR Labs or Project Cadmus developed superhumans, Brainiac drones, people infected/controlled by Parasite, Zod's phantom zone Krytptonians, and many more. Why is there a problem here?

@rulerofthisuniverse: Thank you i brought this up because a very stupid YouTube comment's of people who where laughing at superman not having a good game and listing some of the reason's. Whats funny is that this comment war was on angry joes channel about Rocksteady doing superman and a BatmanArkhamVideos dude that shows easter eggs from the Arkham Games. It was bad i doubt half the people commented know anything about the DC Universe but the Animated series and Batman. I just thought it was a big issue cause that's all they where arguing about.

I wouldn't want 'thugs' in my Superman game anyways. Just give me Boss fights and mini-boss fights. The rest of the time can be for preventing/stopping natural disasters, saving lives, stopping crimes, and investigating. Imagine a Superman game where you have a mission to collect dirt on a mobster as Clark Kent with Lois Lane. You arrive at the warehouse and use your abilities to gather information, and keep Lois out of trouble. As you're doing this, your super hearing (an alert on the hud or something) picks up a bank robbery. You have to stop it, but you also don't want to be seen by Lois or miss the needed information. Enter a nice little timed mission where you fly to downtown Metropolis and dispatch of some petty criminals in creative ways. Flying back to the warehouse, you discover that the mobster has hired Parasite for some evil stuff. This leads to that, that leads to this blah blah blah and you have to fight Parasite as a boss. I think a game going along the lines of this would be great for Superman. It doesn't downplay his powers with trivial task such as beating up 'thugs' to gain xp or health, Boss/mini-boss battles/ natural disasters would be grand in scale as a result, and it allows you to explore every facet of being Superman/Clark Kent.

Oh, and this game should definitely take the sandbox game style to another level. I don't want my Superman to be trapped in Metropolis, hell, I don't even want him confined to Earth. Let this game at least span the Solar System and we would have...perfection...or at least close to it lol

In my opinion, it's not about lacking cannon fodder opponents for Superman to go up against in between boss battles and what not, it's about being incapable of making the sort of gameplay enjoyable in regards to his powerset.

Except in DBZ, almost every character has a largely comparable power-set and are all fighters. That doesn't really translate well to Superman or the DCU.

Superman Returns already attempted robots ala Ultimate Destruction. Didn't work out too well.
