The new graphic novel is coming soon and to be honest I can't wait till it is released. I am also happy to say that I hope they do alot of things different but in a good way (unlike Smallville) Things I'd like to happen is perhaps Clark isn't interested in Lois for one Not that I don't like Lois it's just kinda over used now plus we know where that boat takes us with them in regular comics.
I would like to say I would want Clark to be the ONLY survivor of Krypton, short of General Zod in the Phantom Zone. But I don't want a Kara Zor EL (it's not like I hate her character but we have seen her enough to know what she is like) I would however in some later parts of Earth One Superman to reintroduce Linda Danvers as a character I really like her character in her short time as Supergirl in comics. They don't have to make her Supergirl but to introduce her as somewhat a character in Earth One Clark's life would be interesting. Or at least I think it would.
Oh and I don't want to see characters from Smallville (TV series) please theres enough of that in regular Superman comics.
So what do you guys think on Superman Earth one? what would you guys like to see or think should happen?
Superman
Character » Superman appears in 18940 issues.
Sent to Earth as an infant from the dying planet Krypton, Kal-El was adopted by the loving Kent family and raised in America's heartland as Clark Kent. Using his immense solar-fueled powers, he became Superman to defend mankind against all manner of threats while championing truth, justice, and the American way!
Superman Earth one
Also, Superman Earth One; 27 October 2010. Just looked it up.
To be honest, I haven't liked JMS' Superman so far. It's come off as preachy and smug. It feels like JMS has some things to get off his chest about modern society and is trying to use Superman to do so. Unfortunately, all of his messages have been weak and vague and they've marred his plots. Earth One feels like it'll be the same from the preview.
There was a cool interview with Shane Davis in this months Wizard magazine, and a couple of sketches
I would like to see earth one Superman end up with Wonder Woman. There are alot of people out there that like the idea of them together and the only two times we've seen it played out is Kingdom Come and they just hit on it a little thru the book until the end (which once Superman of Earth-22 comes to main cont and then gets sent back you never see him with her or his kids again as it jumps thru time) andin All Star Batman i believe. I know they have a kid in that but i dont know how much they hit on it, i havent read that one yet but plan on it.
I'm definitely going to read this, but I can't help but feel that Clark's a little bit too emo in the first pages. I know he generally comes off as the "Boy Scout" compared to Batman, but I guess that that's just the way the author is setting up for Clark to be all pensive and indecisive about his future. I just don't want Superman ending up on anti-depressants or something..
Those pages made me even more excited. The art is superb.
By the way, did they mention when does this take place? I mean, he looks young enough to be Superboy, so I assume its from his early years as Superman.
Superman earth one is base on Clark Kent coming to Metropolis to decide what he wants to do with his life. He has yet to become superman but he is in his early 20's. He will travel the world chasing stories when he realizes that the world needs someone like the superman we know today.
It seems that in Earth One, Clark was never Superboy.
The winged guy looks like a gender varient of Silver Banshee
the art is ok but the size of head is kind of disproportion to the body.
but superman really look badass
i can't wait to see this
