We know that superman raw strength, speed and durability is much weaker than goku, this was proven in manga before goku actually understood the concept of ki post to 23rd budokai match.

his raw strength that allowed him to smash bricks with his finger, throw dinosaurs into the air, swim around the earth with the weights on, move 200 ton boulders and jump 10 kilometers into the air that even gold saints from saint seiya the lost canvas struggled against that fall gravity. goku was simply more invulnerable, goku also defeated a world fearest red ribbon army, kicked nukes like soccer balls and broke the fourth wall. what exactly happened after that? well goku has reached his muscle limits and eventually had too study under the gods and learn to way of how to control and use ki which allowed him to surpass his limits. in the 23rd budokai match goku was able to use ki shield in order to block piccolo nuclear blast without causing any harm to himself, we also saw how everything around goku was pretty much turned into the ash

going back to say that goku having to rely on his ki to increase his strength,speed and defense wasent exactly true at this point because still was able to increase his strength without needing to rely on ki, by mastering 10x gravity from king kai, then training at 100g gravity room and later being able to hit very fast with his fists and legs while having 2 tons on each limbs and while at the same time levitating in the air.

all these later feats show goku actual physical limits.

Now why would that be a good way to measure goku strength, speed and durability? its because if toriyama was to use example of goku lifting an island during frieza battle it would make it be a very inconsistent feat, because it would have no limit, basicly the more goku concentrates his ki the more faster he could travel, the more durable he is, and the more he can lift. The other question would be what are the goku limits on how much ki could he concentrate on? we know that just by concentrating a little ki on his finger goku was able to completely block off every trunks sword attack with his finger, goku would have too been soo overconfident to consider that trunks sword that easily slashed thru frieza body wouldnt be able to even scratch him, if he applied that amount ki concentrated energy.

another example is how frieza was able to use ki in order to lift up entire island, without using ki and just relying on pure muscles he would have never been able to do it

So then why is that Superman can lift planets by staying 10 minutes into the sun while goku is forced to rely on his raw strength? wouldnt it be fair if goku was allowed to use ki to also do those impossible feats that superman isnt able to do unless he absorbs himself?

goku raw strength is much higher than superman raw strength without sun help or ki, but both characters were to recieve amount of power ups!! when i say power ups i mean additional power that is equal, goku would in no doubt would be stronger than superman because his raw body without ki can tolerate much more than superman.

is goku raw strength was on the scale of 8 and superman raw strength on the scale is 5

the bigger the power multiplier you give both characters the bigger difference will be in both of them

goku 8x5=40

superman 5x5=25

difference 15 in power

now lets try giving them higher power ups but they are power buff is equal!

goku 8x10=80

superman 5x10=50

the difference now is 30 in power

Both these guy are inconsistent as each other so no one wins

Ki is a learned skill and then it is how able the body is to store and use it in a effective manner. So many short change Superman and this is wrong.

Given the proper story arc and writers Superman could be a whole new brand of Z fighter.
