I'm not gonna give you a "comics logic" "comics science" answer. The first rarely makes any sense and isn't consistant, and the second has so many holes in it, that it's more guess work than science.
There's a lot about comics that will never make sense. And the fact that they still say that Superman is one huge solar battery although it has been proven beyond measure of a doubt that he's powers levels could not be possible if that was the case. The only (and short) version were he could have those levels of power and recharge has fast has he does, is if the solar energy that he absorves actually works has a catalyst to activate some other property of his physiology that for example allows him to absorve energy in all the EM spectrum.
Has refered by SanoHibiki in the previous post, in the pre-flashpoint version of Superman, after he spent a whole year without his powers, when his life got in danger, the powers that he had subconsciously disabled started to return, and everything electronic started to stop working whenever he was near. His cellphone and tablet battery got drained even though he was sure he had charged them. The computers at the Daily Planet also stopped working when he was in close proximity to one. All this is important and was delivered in a very subtle way to lead people to think outside the solar battery box, and think that most likely the solar light gives a sort of initial charge to his cells that in turn start to absorve and metabolize all forms of energy inside the known electromagnetic spectrum. This could not only explain his power levels but also a lot of other things, like for example, how he's able to sustain himself in space for days, weeks and months without any relevant sunlight nearby.
This was important to answer your question. Because if that's how his powers actually work and he's constantly absorving and metabolizing EM energy than when he fights against opponents that are able to manipulate energy, its logic to assume that they can drain that same energy from his body. Although there aren't that many cases of powerdrain that's more when he faces the Parasite, in most cases if he fights against someone like Firestorm or Captain Atom, that can manipulate the type of energy they emit, because Superman's weakness to red sunlight is well known, most of the times they would emit large doses of that type of energy to weaken Superman.
