Supergirl is older than Superman. Before Krypton went bye-bye, Kara was a girl in her mid-teens who babysat the infant Kal-El frequently. If she hadn't been placed into suspended animation for her journey to Earth and since Superman appears to be around 25 now, Kara would physically be around 40 years old. This (albeit minor) issue has, as far as I have read and am able to recall, only been addressed only once and briefly when the two met up in the early issues of the current Supergirl series.

Once the dust settles and Kara accepts that Kal-El is who he says he is and his relationship to her, I'm wondering if she'll continue to be treated as Little Miss Junior Superman...?

What are your thoughts?

It's not like her being older than Superman is anything new. Superman will probably deal with her similarly to how he did pre-Flashpoint.

Well physically she's not really 40, suspended animation is just that....it freezes the body or suspends all the bodies functions, so physically when she arrived on Earth she was the same age as when she left Krypton.

Physically, Superman is the older one so it doesn't really matter.

We must also consider that time on earth and in space work differently.When Kal arrived on earth, he lived out twenty-somehow years on earth, and Kara was out in space, free from earth's gravity, and it's affect on time. To her, along with being in suspended animation, the trip must have taken only days. That is why Kal is older.

i don't understand.. is she older than him now..? or did she stay a teenager when she traveled to earth and he grew up and now he's technically older? ..hopefully this question makes sense!

Relative age is important. He has logged in more hours being conscious than she has.

She is younger just as Captain America is younger than a lot of oldies in this day.
