    If superboy was designed to defeat or replace superman, how was he expected to do so with half the powers and strength?

    Actually he was told he would never have the kryptonIan powers he didn't have on the show.could it be a lie,sure,but his outer physical age was frozen.

    He could have grown into all the powers or he could have developed TTK to shore up his flaws,BOTH were said to or shown not to be what Weissman wanted though.
