Beware of spoilers

So the codex was in the form of a skull when we first see it. I'm thinking that was a Brainiac reference and here is why; The Codex was turned into DNA and merged with Clark, in a manner that would allow him to extract the DNA to revive his race, kind of making him the new Kandor. The Codex was also computerized (so electronic skull).

Kandor-El, huh?

Eh, that would seem a bit to strange. I know that this is world where a guy can lift a tank over his head, but seriously, making Supes Kandor would really be pushing it in my eyes.

It would be more symbolic; like in Smallville, Kandor was a genetic database storage device, but now that same DNA database is Clark. It really is not that far a cry from Smallville! It is not like every time he bleeds a Kryptonian or 2 springs forth
