Superman
Character » Superman appears in 18942 issues.
Sent to Earth as an infant from the dying planet Krypton, Kal-El was adopted by the loving Kent family and raised in America's heartland as Clark Kent. Using his immense solar-fueled powers, he became Superman to defend mankind against all manner of threats while championing truth, justice, and the American way!
Scott Lobdell might write Superman
That would be pretty cool. I would be fine with him dropping Superboy or maybe Teen Titans in favor of Superman but I would want him to stay on Red Hood, UNLESS Judd Winick would be up to writing it then I would be cool with him dropping it. What I really want though is for Teen Titans to get a new regular artist. I dont dig Brett Booths style.
The guy who did the last issue (I forget his name) did a good job, I wouldn't mind him staying on Teen TitansThat would be pretty cool. Meh, Superboy has been terrible and Teen Titans has been all over the place. I'm not amused.
Brink Mark Waid on board and then I'll pay attention.
@Primmaster64: Yeah, Grant is holding his own on Action Comics but once Batman Inc comes out *sighs*, I'm guessing his focus will drift away. Superman is in extreme demand of a good, no scratch that, an excellent writer.
@Deranged Midget:
Why can't they get A-lister writers to write Superman? Grant can't do it on his own. The only people I can't think off either have other titles, are no longer in DC or are Vertigo writers.

Given the Fact writing for Superman seems to be a revolving door at DC, tis only a matter of time before that happens.
@Primmaster64: Sad but true, Brian Azzarello had a pretty good run on Superman: For Tomorrow but he's stuck with Wonder Woman. Mark Waid wrote the spectacular Birthright, but is stuck with Marvel, as with every other good writer.

I'm hoping that DC's plans are to IMPROVE Superman not defile his name with writers like Rob Liefield *shudders*
@Primmaster64: As much as I would to see that, I don't think Superman is his style :/
I'm trying to think of others right now.
@Thorion88: A sad fact... Honestly, if it continues this course, I'm sad to say that it might even become cancelled in favour of Action Comics to simply continue on it's own if they don't find a good writer to take over.
He's not stuck with it, WW is fecking awesome@Primmaster64: Sad but true, Brian Azzarello had a pretty good run on Superman: For Tomorrow but he's stuck with Wonder Woman. Mark Waid wrote the spectacular Birthright, but is stuck with Marvel, as with every other good writer.

I never said otherwise.
Eh, I'm down with Scott writing Superman. He's doing a relatively good job with Superboy and the Teen Titans where he's already toyed around with some of Grant Morrison's ideas (N.O.W.H.E.R.E. and Danny the Street). It'll be interesting to see what he does with Superman. Honestly, short of a Mark Waid comeback, the resurrection of Mort Weisinger, or me getting a Superman run of my very own (fat chance) I don't see myself getting too excited with any other writer working on the character outside of Grant. I like Snyder a lot but I'm not sure how well his style fits with Superman. Maybe it's something 'd have to see to believe.
It's interesting that DC can't seem to stick with any one creative team for Superman. I feel like they tried to keep it the more conservative title for those who were afraid of Superman changing too much from the Post-Crisis version. The conclusion must be that no one misses the Post-Crisis version THAT much...
