So...what does everyone think?
Character » Superman appears in 18939 issues.
That sounds... pretty epic. I have high hopes for this film and I fully support Henry Cavill as Superman.

Telekinesis..........................................WTH? I was excited for this. ahh screw it , It is a movie with Superman and Amy Adams, still excited but I was really hoping the writers might stay true to the comics this time. As great as the Reeves four were the writing sucked, those movies were saved by top notch acting.

I do find it interesting that they gave him TK I guess we'll see how it plays out. Maybe its a power he had when he was younger but then faded as he grew older
@SuperShafe: Ha. 3 and 4 were awful. Although Supes did use tk to rebuild the great wall of china in the old series so there's a president for it. I think he might've have done it a couple time in the SA as well, though that I'm not sure of.

And for the record, Superman kind of has TK, but not in the way like Jean Grey would use it. It was answered in a thread I made about a week ago.
@SuperShafe: It's not an argument, it was the answer to a question I asked about it, lol:

@Gambit1024: Just read the entire thread nothing in there came close to convincing me that he had TK. I also distinctly remember reading that Conners TK allowed him to mimic superman's powers and that according to Teen Titans: The Future is Now Conner also developed normal Kryptonian powers as he matured. All Star Superman called the field that protects his clothing a bio-electric field. You are gonna need more than meaningless conjecture by viners , some of whom I really respect , to convince me that Kal has TK Powers.
hey who knos wether its actually telekinesis(hope its not they shld stay true to supes powers) or him using his breath to keep the pencil hovering the air, anyway cant wait so exited for just the trailer!!
Superboy, a flawed clone of Superman, got much less raw power than his genetic template, but he did get a power called "tactile telekinesis" (he can move things without touching them, only he has to touch them--it sounds dumb, but in practice it's like super-strength with more flexibility. For instance, Superboy could lift a tugboat just by touching it with his toe--he wouldn't have to pick it up, just make skin contact). This is in addition to flight.
Supergirl, along with flight, also had a very powerful telekinesis (she was able to stop bullets in mid-air, rather than just bouncing them off her--er--chest).
So we have three Kryptonians with similar but slightly different powers. All of them can fly, and two of them are telekinetic.
Ergo, Superman's flight is telekinetic in nature. It's just that Superman can only focus his telekinetic potential through this one specific ability (although arguably, it's also what lets him lift buildings and battleships without the structures crumbling under their own weight). Superboy and Supergirl, while possessing less raw power than Superman, have more fine telekinetic control, allowing them more versatility when using that ability.
Yes, while Superboy is the one with "tactile telekinesis", he had to have gotten that power from somewhere and I can tell you that it wasn't from Lex Luthor. And Supergirl, another Kryptonian, has also desplayed telekinesis in her own right. Therefore, Superman must posses at least some form of that power even though it's not as well developed as his clone's or his cousin's.
Ugh, I just don't think anyone can take Superman seriously. ESPECIALLY after Nolan's dark and intense Batman trilogy.
