Question, wouldn't thor's hammer crush Superman?

Hey guys I'm pretty new to the forums and all, and I know I'm gonna offend some people, but I was wondering how resistant Superman is to magic. I asked this question to myself when I read JLA/Avengers, when superman defeats Thor. Superman takes a couple of Thor's blows and while slightly fazed he is not incapacitated and eventually wins. Apparently (I read this... somewhere) supes has no resistance (or very little) to magic. If so wouldn't Thor's enchanted hammer kill him? If so just how weak to magic is he? And how has he defeated magic users in the past?

Superman had originally low resistance to magic though I think somewhere along the road that was changed. However he was never vulnerable to it I believe. Mjolnir has a chance of hurting him but kind of like if you took a hammer to a body builder. Little damage. What you saw was a crossover so not really relevant to actual cases, it was fan voted and therefore Superman won.

that crossover was not fan voted. and by the way kal is weak against magic but he can go toe to toe vs black adam and captain marvel,he is weak against kryptonite but he can smash trough a k-nite spaceship,he is weak against red sun's radiation but he can fly trough red suns...so he MAY have weaknesses but he can overcome them. however superboy prime was immune both to magic and k-nite since they were from another universe and pre52 superman showed that he is immune to k-nite from other universes too,so i'm assuming that mjolnir's magic can not affect him. he still remains susceptible to huge ammounts of force.

He's probably thinking about the the crossover where Batman fought captain america and wonder woman fought storm.Superman fought the hulk though.

yeah, they were fan based. however superman beating the hulk just makes sense(fan based or not).

Superman is not weak to magic. He's just vulnerable to it.....basically magic effects him the same way it would a normal human. Pokemon is a good analogy. Think of Superman as a Water type Pokemon and magic as a Fighting type. Any Fighting type attack that the Water Pokemon is hit with just does normal damage, no resistance or weakness. Get it?
However........Superman has been known to resist magic at some times

Thanks for the feedback. I wanted to know a few things before getting into superman comics. I've never been a huge DC fan but maybe that will change.
