I haven't been reading Superman so I'm not sure if this version was also raised on a farm. I was thinking he could just become an animal handler or ranger for like a park or natural reserve. He can use this profession to explore the natural order of things on Earth. Most beasts would probably instinctively know not to mess with him so his true identity would be pretty simple to conceal from such an employer while being humorous to read. He could use some more wilderness skills since he got caught so flat-footed by a cheetah. For all I know they've written something like this in the past but that's the answer I'm sticking with.

I honestly think he should become a scientist of some kind. With all his knowledge of Kryptonian sciences, he could easily benefit mankind in ways unimaginable while being Earth's greatest superhero. Do it in a capacity though where he is perhaps a professor at Metropolis U or something.

If Kent really does love Reporting and creating News that he thinks has just become entertainment, and if he can possibly live without any income, why doesn't he try and go as an underground Reporter trying to bring News back to the media that stood for Truth, Justice and the American Way.

I keep seeing all these answers like policeman or secret agent. But I haven't seen anyone mention a Writer. He is a Reporter at heart and reporters write. So have him be a writer that or he can get a job as a reporter some where else. The Daily Star anyone?

He should be the CEO of the Wayne Industries Metropolis branch. He has good morals, in very smart he could easily run a business like that with the ability to come and go as he pleases. Also an office high up (possibly with working windows) would make it easy for him to come and go with out much notice. He could be the Steve Jobs of Wayne Industries in Metropolis as well as the companies moral compass.

I thought something like this at first too but if yu ever watched Smallville he started getting noticed at always being at the scene of crimes and saving the day.

havent read superman 13 yet (waiting for the whole crossover issues are out before i read my super titles) but wasnt he a fireman? the timeline between action comics and superman is confusing
