A lot of those damage soaking feats are due to his indestructible armor though. Not quite sure how invulnerable they have decided to make him without it. One could assume that it is the same, but when you give an individual armor like that its usually because they need it.
And the blast from Hel didn't seem like it was meaning to kill him rather incapacitate him because he did need him for other things.
Not trying to ran on anyone's parade at all but I have been seeing that the are slowly changing Superman. His Super intelligence has shown not to be on such a super level. Although he probably does have the capacity to learn these things, he isn't speaking in other languages and having difficulty with coordinates. Something that guaranteed superman pre-52 dealt with. (I have seen him speak Russian).
Dc still is considering superman as invulnerable but i dont know i think that they should keep him at pre flashpoint power levals i think he was fine then .
@Kallarkz: well for the new 52 to supes in the present day superman title i think the armour is just for show when he is fightting normal enimes but comes in handy for fighting big bads. As for his invulnerabaty i think its like hulks his skin can be peired but it takes a lot of force to do it.
his skin is still un periciable but if you guys rember he could bleed even with out kryptonite pre flash point the armour has already been stated as a way for him to honor his kryptonian heritage ( sorry i totally misspelled that ) i personally do not believ besides in action comics that they have depowered him
@Primmaster64: @matchesmalone21: Just on page 1 alone, there's him "holding a train". He was slowing it down and he was knocked out at the end of that. And then there's him surviving the Omega Beams like it speaks volumes about his durability, when it was because Darkseid wanted him alive and taken back to Apokolips so Desaad could use his genes to create Apokoliptian super-soldiers. On page 2, there's him "going toe-to-toe with Darkseid". He bullrushed Darkseid through a Boom Tube when Uxas wasn't looking, and Darkseid was still handling him fine until Cyborg BFR'd him.
@CitizenBane: About the train still a feat,this don't change anything. About Darkseid agreed.
Just a question Grant Morrison has something against the trains? This scans Superman holding/ing a train. In other scans he stop a train. in other scans I see a giant robot attack the train system and Superman destroy him.
