My Superman Design
@saint_wildcard: +1, I like a majestic cape. A long majestic cape.
Too many shades of blue, but you're talented
Yup. Much better than any I can do. I really should practice more.
@superguy1591: Thank you, what about now (I changed the color scheme)
Cape is too short for my taste, and it needs a belt. Looks like thermals without a belt
Your taste is crap :P Superman never looked so stylish
Those blues contrast too much but I do like the design. The face doesn't sit well with me for superman though.
Nice stuff.

I spent an hour on this face to make sure he looked super handsome. I'll try a few different color combos tomorrow, maybe. Thank you :)
I think the solution is somewhere between here and the upcoming new suit. Love the sleeves, neckline and cape.
@arturocalakayvee: Thank you ;)
@foamborn: make the bottom the same as the top's blue.
Pretty cool design. I like it. I would like the cape to be a little longer, but good none the less.
Thank you, it means a lot to me. I have a degree in design actually so I'm serious about becoming a character designer/editor/writer

Well I hope you make it, because your design for Superman is good. And I think I saw you a design you did for Wonder Woman which was also good.
I like it a lot man! Only things I would change are the lack of a belt and the shoulders.
Oh, and you gave him a great physique too. I don't really like roided out Superman lol
@superguy1591: Now it really begs for a belt and doesn't look as sleek and special, imo

Thank you so much. I don't like all the muscle definition either and this way I think the suit looks as though it's made of actual fabric.

Uhhh, I disagree
THe genius is in the simplicity :3
@foamborn: looks good to me,
Needs more colour contrast. A belt (or underwear) is pretty much mandatory, imho. Nevertheless, great job! Dumb question: why didn't you colour his face and hands?
I like the different blue colors, but it needs a belt to make it work.
Also love his physic, not too bulky, and not too slick, it looks just about right. Also his suit, is definitely better than both Jim Lee's ( too many lines & looks too much like military armor ) and JRJR. ( it's just...meh ) :3
The face doesn't sit well with me for superman though.
I like the face, looks nice. ( hair looks pretty ) There's just something about those eyes tho xD ( they make him look a bit goofy )
@2cool4fun: @fuzzylittlerodent: @sog7dc: @z3ro180: Thank you all. Personally I don't think this look needs a belt, I didn't color his face because I just quickly slapped some color on and I suppose hes got a bit of a cheeky smile on his face. I swear he was nicer-looking before I inked it on photoshop.

Indeed, less is more. Superman looks even better naked !
@foamborn: hey, you're the artist, so obviously you know what's best. But imho, that big blue space is just begging for some contrast. Also, is it me or do you have a crush on Clark? :D
I like. It´s simple but looks good. Many people dont like when Superman wears dark collours but looks good.
@foamborn I thought you hated Superman Lol

She hates her favorite character getting banged by Superman

But she finds Superman hot, wouldn't you enjoy seeing your favorite female character get shagged by a hot guy?
he needs a bigger "bulge". A big bulging bulge. Buuuuulge
Need the "fortress of solitude" to be more visible? eh eh
There wont be any solitude once the ladies see his huge Watchtower.

No if anything I have a bit of a crush on Henry Cavill whom I equate with Superman now. I will say though that drawing Superman's wee wee felt kind of intimate and perhaps that's the reason why a lot of artists don't do it.
@foamborn I thought you hated Superman Lol
I like Superman, I just don't like what they've done to him and what that means to Wonder Woman.
But she finds Superman hot, wouldn't you enjoy seeing your favorite female character get shagged by a hot guy?
Yes but what I truly love more than anything, is seeing women in positions of power.
You know I always saw WW as the dominant one in the relationship.
Btw, I forgot to ask. Did you draw this by hand, or on the computer?
She's the dominant one now but Soule portrayed Wonder Woman as a gormless bubblehead whose life revolved around him. She didn't seem dominant then. And in the end, it's not Wonder Woman upon whom the fate of humanity depends, whom kings and conquerors from faraway corners of the Universe see as an obstacle, in the grand scheme of things the most powerful woman in the dcu is a non-factor.
I drew this on paper first, then I took a photo and "inked" it on photoshop. I don't know if it's me or my hundred euro wacom tablet but unless I do quick strokes, my lines are all shaky.
Cape is too short. There's not enough yellow. And the belt is missing. These are the main issues.
Now, how to fix this (and be reminded this is just my opinion):
- The cape part and the space the red should take you can get a great example from Superman Godfall
- The belt simply can't be missing, so you also either take it from Godfall, or if you don't want a belt, you could at least add something more along the line of the suit seen in MoS
- And the yellow it's simply missing... A lot of it. You could have created a few lines of yellow on the wrists and along the arms, the side of the legs and of course along the waist.
These are my 2cents on the matter.
@mr_tech_ed: A guy with a Batman thumbnail doesn't like the Superman and Wonder Woman pairing? Shocking.
@foamborn: Nice. Needs a belt though. And I prefer my Superman a little larger in muscle mass but otherwise great job :)
