    So which is the most powerful incarnation animated wise of Superman, that is close/near to his comic self? Anyone?

    Well All Star Superman was as strong as he was in that comic, but that's a non cannon series. I would say Superman vs The Elite is the closest. Also Superman/Batman Apocalypse is very accurate.
