    is Kal-Kent from earth-prime?

    Ive been reading up on Crisis and all that and am still trying to figure it all out. It seems Kal-Kent is only a descendant of superman; but superman-prime or superman from earth-one?

    also why is Superman Prime the God superman, shouldnt it be Superman-1 ? He is the real Hero, Prime was a villain and angsty teenage after crisis.

    @sxgt: This is a misconception that many people have. Superman Prime and the Prime Superman are not the same people. The Golden Superman that emerged from the Sun in Justice League One Million is know as the Prime Superman, because he was the Superman we know and love. Superman Prime is the angsty jerk from Earth Prime. Kal Kent is a descendent of Superman, the one and only, not Superman Prime.

    No

    Earth one

    "Earth one - Superman" is referred to as Superman Prime in that future. The Superman from "earth - prime" is a distant forgotten memory by then.

    Actually, Prime Superman is from New Earth/Earth 0. But yeah, they're all different.

    When the universes split, the new earth went back to earth-1, there actually was a separate earth -0 with a bunch of bizzarro looking beings, it was shown in one of the panels with a bunch of other earths (I think the same page showed the jonah hex universe), but was of course distinct from earth prime.

    http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Earth-0

    So if 1mil was created at the time of "New earth" then it would technically be called earth-0 superman at that time, but would have been been earth -1 superman after the split. Earth 1 Superman was New Earth Superman after the split, his continuity carried over.

    @drgnx:

    1. The main Earth was described as "New Earth" when the multiverse was restored in Infinite Crisis.
    2. The main Earth was described as "Earth 0" during Final Crisis
    3. And finally, Earth 1 made an appearance during the Trinity maxiseries and it was heavily suggested that it was the earth were the Earth One graphic novels took place.

    I'm aware New Earth has been refereed to as "earth 0" but during infinite crises an "earth 0" was clearly shown (here in the bottom left corner) as a bizzaro world.

    Yes, new earth was an amalgamation of a few universes including 1, but looks like it remained distinct after the separation. I don't think N.E. was officially refereed to as earth 1, having skimmed over E-1 vol 1 and 2, I should have remembered this.

    @sxgt: Sort of, some characters have new origin stories while some don't, but many events still occurred like "blackest night" and "brightest day" and I think Superman still died (possible reference in Swampthing no 1), But the Superboy and Steel have different origins already so that event would be different.
