Does anyone else think it is stupid that Superman can be beaten by a bunch of rocks?

isnt it stupid that the guardians are suppost to be really smart but they create theyre officers to have a weakness to a colour.

@Lvenger: lol. yeah, that weakness was really silly. I particularly like how it got retconned out, being that Parallax is being imprisoned in OA central battery that causes weakness against yellow impurity. Very creative indeed.

@sethysquare: Agreed that was a nifty way of explaining the yellow weakness and Kyle Rayner's ring's lack of the yellow impurity.

@Lvenger: exactly. not sure if you feel the same, but IMO, I think Kyle and Hal are the 2 green lanterns that are being developed the most over the past 2 decades. By that I mean, most character development, supporting characters, love interest and enemies.

Hal more than Kyle. While Guy and John got the least development.

@sethysquare: For me it's Hal, John (due to the Justice League cartoon), Kyle and Guy. Guy's such an ass that I never liked the character. I'm glad he got one hit KOed by Batman in Justice League International.

@Lvenger: I meant in the comics. I cant remember the last time I read John having a love interest. Kyle and Hal seemed like the most developed characters in dc for the past decade.

@sethysquare: True but John has had his comic book moments too. His romance with Katma Tui, the destruction of Xanshi, becoming a Guardian of the Universe. And recently he's had to kill both Mogo and other Green Lanterns highlighting his more ruthless willingness to do what needs to be done. But yeah he does need a love interest to spice things up. Maybe he'll get one after War of the Green Lanterns?

@Lvenger: Katma Tui and Xanshi was so long ago. Almost 3 decades ago. Which is why I always joked around that John did nothing much in the comics except kill people and planets. I really dont see how killing mojo or that gl added anything to his character development. Kyle on the other hand had relationships after relationships and you see lots of his thoughts about them. John was just the resident goofball which i was pretty entertained by. The fact is for me, John is just a very serious and rigid character. He was like that in the comics and in the tv show as well. But at least he had something going on for him in jlu, his relationship with hawkgirl.

@sethysquare: Fair points. Personally I wanted to see John and Hawkgirl in an actual relationship for longer than two episodes. Then again no indication is given of how much time transpired between Wild Cards and Starcrossed so a fair bit of time could have been said to have passed.

actually i think kryptonite is one of the better explained and logical weaknesses in comics... i mean its certainly better than confidence level

To be fair...we have a vulnerability to radioactive rocks...not so different after all, eh?

@Lvenger: Yeah I guess. But guess thats never gonna happen now that hawkgirl is in earth 2. Unless a new hawkwoman appears in new earth.

@sethysquare: I wonder why they've split up the Hawk couple between the multiverse? Maybe a romance will be established once the Justice Society meet the Justice League in the inevitable crossover in the future.

@Lvenger: If you ask me, I think hawk couple is done to death. The whole reincarnation thing just has too much baggage. But at the same time I don't really ship John with Shayera also. I guess I'm just waiting for new relationship to form for all 3 parties.

The current love interest with Hawkman seems fun enough, but I don't know if it will stick. I'm intrigued by the girl on the cover of the latest solicitations for TSH.
