It seems our heroes(except for Supes) don't really want to save the world unless an giant alien comes....
Superman
Character » Superman appears in 18940 issues.
Sent to Earth as an infant from the dying planet Krypton, Kal-El was adopted by the loving Kent family and raised in America's heartland as Clark Kent. Using his immense solar-fueled powers, he became Superman to defend mankind against all manner of threats while championing truth, justice, and the American way!
Interesting topic in AC 10
LOL that would have been funny and sad...I want the next panel to say "MEANWHILE, IN UGANDA" and show a starving child dying slowly.
I like how Batman angrily calls Superman a snoop...
You know...because Batman never snoops around in anybodys business, and he has no idea and respects other characters secret identities.......
He is the goddamned hypocrite

If this takes place earlier (scan doesn't say), it'd be hilarious if this was the incident that prompted him to start making his plans for Tower of Babel.

Pre-flashpoint Supes must talk to this Supes and use the speech he used on Ion. Y'know, about letting people do the living on their own.

i agree at 100% and possibly more.
however i'd love to see justice league vs superman...and his hamsters!
if somebody has the power to make this world better he has to use it. of course if superman decides to solve the world's problems he will have to fight all the people that are maintaing this status quo:governments, politicians and multinationals...and these are not his common enemies. superman thinks to himself as one of us and he respect us even if he is basically a god.
@BlackArmor: Well it's only bad if someone other than Batman is doing it, like when Christians demand freedom of speech then freak out when non Christians want it too

Amen brotha!
I have to agree with team. You Can't go into other countries doing what ever you want. Just Becuase you have the power to do it, doesn't mean you should do it.

You can't just fly into other countries and start changing sh!t just because you feel it's the right thing to do
You can't just fly into other countries and start changing sh!t just because you feel it's the right thing to doThis. Batman is right, here. Superman is being his old idealist self.
I don't know.
How would you feel when an alien attacks Earth and Superman saids ''F*ck you guys, you're planet, you're problem.''
I do understand Batman's point...But I also understand Superman's.
I think that is a gimmick Grant used to show what a hypocrite batman really is. Hey, Batman Inc, ring a bell? Plus, I think superman's idea has nothing wrong. He did it before in a miniseries (illustrated by Alex Ross) and I think it made complete sense for him to do it---helping poor people in other countries by sending them rice that superman planted at his farm as an example. Superman is not interfering anything other than preventing those people from being starving. I don't think there is anything wrong with this. Although at the end of the book the writer did tell us there is some sort of side-effect on this, but I think it's more of a problem from the nature of us human beings ourselves.

Disagree pre flashpoint superman was a loser from the start when Byrne created him and will always be.
But Golden Age and Silver Age superman are awesome!
Of course, they can't have the more powerful Jlers take out every crime boss/dictator/solve all world dilemmas, and leave only galactic threats. The characters like Green Arrow, Black Canary and so on would have nothing to do.

You can if you're the United States and oil is involved.

Gary Busey should have been the Joker.

Do you even know the speech I was talking about?

If Superman doesn't like it he can go become Superfarmer. Have a drought? No problem with Superfarmer on the job irrigating and planting seeds across the globe for 3rd world countries.
Kingdom Come Superfamer is awesome anyway...
Batman doesn't come and say "Hey England here's Knight and Squire, your new protectors because I say so."
The only thing he does is go with some local heroes he trusts and give them an improvement of equipment and say they are sanctioned by Batman. They are also his operatives to fight Leviathan, not the issues of how a government should or shouldn't deal with their issues.
I think both of them are right and both of them are wrong in some issues. The fact that there's no one who is clearly right tells you how much of a dilemma this is.
I AM THE NIGHT I AM VENGANCE I AM BATOCRITE!AND MAKE SURE NOT TO SLEEP WITH YOUR ARCH-NEMESIS'S DAUGHTER AND GET HER KNOCKED UP WITH CHILD THAT IS TRAINED TO BE AN ASSASSIN THAT SURPRISINGLY HAS A PROBLEM WITH KILLING AND BECOMES YOUR SIDEKICK BECAUSE IF YOU DO I WILL FIND YOU. AND BRING YOU TO JUSTICE.
