So, I have a question, let's say Superman decided the heck with it and switched sides. Not brainwashed or mind controlled or anything, just decided he wanted in on the Evil. Since most people think he is the most powerful hero, then who would be able to take him down?? Would the entire world of superheroes have to ban together for this one??
Okay, so a little more info: We all know that anyone can eventually tire of being good all the time, saving people who just get themselves into trouble, always having to rescue the weak. Superman just gets tired of it. Let's say this new revamp without Lois throws him over the edge. He just decides to stop being good. Yes, if anyone has Kryptonite they can use it, but Superman is the only one who knows what is happening so far so I believe he knows about Batman's plans and his safe full of kryptonite 'just in case', so I would assume he would get to that and take out batman first in my opinion. I think a strong GL, a strong kryptonian, maybe WW could stop him. Not Superboy Prime either, thats an alternate reality, I meant today's Superman. Today's heroes. On regular Earth.

He might be able to. . . but given his failing record against Superman it's a much safer bet to go with someone who can actually take a punch from Superman.

Okay. Green Lantern, Captain Marvel, Wonder Woman, Captain Atom, etc.
My thoughts would be that if he just decided to start being evil then he would systematically take out everyone who could pose a threat. Starting with Cap Marvel, then MM, WW, GL, Zatanna (magic is his weakness) and Bruce. He would then probably unite with Lex somehow, only later to betray him, and subjugate the world. All people of Earth would kneel before Kal. If he went evil, and was smart about it, then the world is boned.
@azza04: EXACTLY, people saying batman would stop him are forgetting superman can move and think faster then humanly possible (bruce is still human kids) if he turns evil you think he'd give the prep king any once of prep time? bruce would be the first to die, either from a speed blitz of getting microwaved by superman from orbit
Lex Luthor with Prep and possibly the help of The Injustice League could probably pull it off. I at least think Luthor with Prep has a better chance than Batman with Prep.
Wonder Woman, but not Soule's Wonder Woman and those kind of Wonder Womans. I mean Rucka's Wonder Woman, THE Wonder Woman who's an Amazon and second to none.
I know this is an old thread, but need the topic's hypothesis still be posed? I mean, it's not like we're lacking stories in which Superman goes bad or out of control nowadays. Might as well ask "If Batman were the one left standing in a future where things went wrong!" or "If DC changed the ethnicity of one of its characters!".
