Almost touching the ground when he is standing still. Longer cape = more billowing. More billowing = much cooler looking.

I think a cape that reaches the heel is better.
It makes Superman look more royal.

Agreed. I voted for heels. Closest to the ground, but not touching it.

If it reaches the ground, it will get pretty dirty...and nothing looks worse than a superhero who's messy :P

@sinestro_gl: And if it´s not reaching the ground it would be also dirty, because when Superman ducks or goes into a crouch ... :-)

Guys it won't get dirty when he's flying at like 50000 mph I doubt even dirt can stick to his cape at that speed

Back of the knees to around the bottom of his calves works perfectly for me. Too long and it just seems to get in the way.

Back of the knees. Definitely not touching the ground but not too short either.

I think about this a lot actually. The back of the knees makes him feel more nice, and less of intimating, but the cape at the heel does give him a more royal look which I like. Idk, it's a toss up.

The cape should just stop at his shoulders, so that he has such a small cape every villain has to pause and say "Wait..what the heck is on your back?", and Superman could sucker punch them right as they say that.
