Just wondering how successful of a character he is, sales-wise, nowadays. Is he doing good, meh, or bad, and how does his sales compare to, say, Batman, Spider-Man or Spawn?
Superman
Character » Superman appears in 18940 issues.
Sent to Earth as an infant from the dying planet Krypton, Kal-El was adopted by the loving Kent family and raised in America's heartland as Clark Kent. Using his immense solar-fueled powers, he became Superman to defend mankind against all manner of threats while championing truth, justice, and the American way!
How are Superman's comic book sales?
@deathstroke52: l0l what, you want to know too?
@kramotz: Yeah?
@kramotz: awful, Hawkeye and thor are both selling more than him

Hawkeye just debuted dummy :P 1st issues sell way more than regulars.
Also Thor had a lot of hype on its back and the gimmick drew in the females audience.
@squalleon: yeah fair points, I'm sure his sales will pick up after convergence he's usually top 10 I was surprised how low he was

I am not sure if sales will became better. Plenty of people don't like the ''Truth" direction and post convergence the Superman titles start with a crossover. Which is a no-no for a casual reader.
Bad tactic by DC imo.
@ariesxmasters: I expected more from the greatest comic book character of all-time (IGN, Empire Magazine).
@comicsrulebutdbzdoes2: Yikes... That doesn't sound too good at all for the Man of Steel.
@deathstroke52: I wasn't antagonizing you or anything. I just thought it was interesting that I wasn't the only one who wanted to know.

That's fine. :D

Depends on the writer, really.
Good writers pull in around 50,000 on Superman, which is average for non-Snyder Batman, but that's all Batman no matter the quality of the writers.
Spider-Man sells a lot, close to 80,000 on his books, good or bad.
Justice League sells 60,000 on average.
And usually, it's Marvel's cr@p events and number 1s that dominate the top 10 along with Marvel's cr@p Star Wars books.
