Yep, you read it right, the original Superman didn't mind killing or threat a criminal with death. He was a very cold psychopath, as well as Batman he didn't mind killing either.
As you can see from the scans below didn't even mind letting the bad guy die sometimes.
Superman
Character » Superman appears in 18939 issues.
Sent to Earth as an infant from the dying planet Krypton, Kal-El was adopted by the loving Kent family and raised in America's heartland as Clark Kent. Using his immense solar-fueled powers, he became Superman to defend mankind against all manner of threats while championing truth, justice, and the American way!
Golden Age Superman was no boyscout
@turoksonofstone:
Nope he wasen't a joke, was serious s**t. A cold Superman
One thing I know for sure unlike modern Supes the first time Batman talked down to him would've been the last
It was before that, an editorial edict was passed for Superman to make an oath to no longer kill(which he did on panel) and that was that it was before the CCA existed.

what do you mean?
One thing I know for sure unlike modern Supes the first time Batman talked down to him would've been the lastLMAO, he would have run Bruce in.
GA Superman was the man for the people. Up until the 1950's where he started to become the "boy scout" lawful authority and using Standing for truth, justice, and the "American" way for propaganda purposes during the cold war.
Batman killed in the Pre-robin issues too, I always thought the Original versions of both were the best ones.
GA Superman is Lawsuit Superman ,
When/IF they "take" him it's this version they won back not the one "We Know"
Feel Me?
They MAY lose everything relating to the Origins of the Clark Kent we know effective 2013, so they are testing the waters at DC to deal with this in story, If a miracle occurs I would expect to see "classic" Superman return at DC, If not...
DC will just create a new "Version", and the version they Lost to the heirs may show up elsewhere.
@turoksonofstone: i would like to read issue of this superman.Since he's pretty much the ''Dark'' Superman. No he's the Original. You are used to the "Light"version.
An Unpublished GA Issue was supposed to be #9 or #10, and whoa, what a story.(By Siegel&Shuster I might add.)
Wow. You seriously own that? You sir, are purely awesome.
Story is called "K-Metal from Krypton"
