What can I say, I love Superman, but Ultraman beats him by a small margin. And Geoff Johns is doing a much better job with this character than Grant Morrison. When Owlman says Wayne's are survivors and Ultraman responds "Statistically speaking, Wayne's tend to die" I could not stop grinning. His origin is also badass, a little kryptonite and he was already putting in place his future parents. I hope one day we get an Earth 3 book.

I feel like some of those don't count't. Being written by different people shouldn't be counted twice.

But Geoff Johns' rebooted Superman from ground up! Grant Morrison and Scott Snyder supposedly write the same New52-Superman but they differ so much from character to setting etc. etc. the same can be said for Geoff Johns' Superman to Byrne's who supposedly are the same Post-crisis Superman.

Even though they are different eras, I counted them as the same. Besides. that arc was brilliant and showed why New 52 Superman is more brash than Kal-L. But If I had to choose Pre-52 Kal-L wins by a small margin.

But New 52 Kal L is not even the same person as the Pre 52 version. The Pre 52 version is dead.

I know, but they both represent kinder more boy scout versions than their Earth One counterparts.

True, but the early version of Kal L was who the Grant Morrison AC version was based on. Originally, Kal L was rough.
