Who draws Superman the best? Is it Kurt Swan? Is it Gary Frank or Jim Lee? Or how about the great art in All Star Superman?

Alex Ross, Jim Lee, and Lionel Yu. In that order.

Alex Ross and Gary Frank. Alex Ross is the best period, Gary Frank is the best for doing a monthly series and not a special project.

My Top 5

  1. Alex Ross -His paintings are absolutely unparalleled. He is the BEST IMO.
  2. Gary Frank -He draws Supes like Reeve. Nuff said.
  3. Jim Lee -Is there anything this man can't draw?
  4. Ivan Reis -He rarely draws Supes. But when he does, he excels. His Superboy Prime splash page back in SCW is still embedded in my brain.
  5. John Byrne -Almost a retro artist now but he drew the Supes that got me into comics.

Yo! There is no doubt that Alex Ross is a freakishly talented artist, even though he is not ''your personal style'' there is no discussion that he is objectively a very, very good artist... however he is one of those artists that i would rather have make me a poster, a painting or an occasionally comic book, for me personally it would get tiresome if ''Alex Ross'' was the style of all comics.

I think personally the Superman artists ive overall enjoy the most is Jim Lee and Gary Frank.

I agree with the choice of Alex Ross as the artist who interprets Superman the best. Besides the artists already mentioned, I also think Michael Turner did a pretty good job

@Z3RO180: It's just artwork Shane Davis did for the Earth-One graphic novel.

YES. I have always said that Ross is incredibly talented and iconic, but he's better suited to Variants and covers than actual interiors.

Actually, I'm not a fan of Alex Ross' Superman at all...his work on the Bat-universe is better for me...but that's just me I guess.

I agree with both, for an ongoing project I think Alex Ross would get tiresome.
