May you rest in peace.
I don't what it is, but whenever a Superman dies it hits me hard.
Character » Superman appears in 18941 issues.
He came back to die again hmmm i just never saw the point in this, but i shall take it. To be honest he got a better death when prime killed him.
@pizzaman: Earth 2 Superman: he's not important, don't worry.
@pizzaman: Earth 2 Superman: he's not important, don't worry.
i cant believe you just said that
Predictable.
They brought him only to kill him, just for a cheap shock value and to fill the pages of that terrible weekly.
I don't even fill that death, there was no build up or tension, there is no reason to "grieve" him when solicits actually made it clear he dies.
@superguy1591: The one that turned evil?
@pizzaman: one of the ones that turned evil last year, yes.
@pizzaman: he never turned evil, that was clone of him (Bizarro) created by Desaad
@holyserpent: you'll live. =p
@buttersdaman000: im shock. i just cant believe nobody cares when a superman dies

I stopped reading Earth 2 after the first few issues or so, so I didn't even know the real Earth-2 Superman was alive again lol
I was shocked when he died the first time though

@lvenger: a marvel character death?

Namor (Spoilers from Avengers 40)
I honestly never understand the inaction seen in those moments.
He was dying, most likely from blood loss or the damage those machines did to his body, but the fact remains, he didn't die immediately, if he still had enough life in him to say all those things to Lois, instead of standing there, crying like little kids, why didn't Kara or Val just pick him up, and went to the sun.
The sun has been shown to basicaly heal even the gravest of wounds, so it was entirely possible to save him.
But it seems Earth-2 Superman would be one Superman too many, and so they obviously let him die, so not to steal Earth-0 Superman spotlight, and make Val-Zod existance something they actually need.
@heavenlydarkdragon: obviously you didn't read series, or you wouldn't have posted that nonsense
@lvenger: Closure.
Robinson achieved the same kind of closure in just one issue where the Trinity sacrificed themselves to stop the Apokolips invasion. Bringing Earth 2 Superman back only to die again just seems pointless by comparison.

Isn't that the synopsis of Earth 2 since Robinson left?

Lol yeah it is I guess.
@squalleon: @lvenger: Closure for Lois, Kara maybe even Val depending on how you want to look at it.
One of them died before him, the other saw him sacrifice himself for the world and the third got the mantle by the person Kal loved the most.
I don't see how this gives "closure" especially when this death is much weaker than the previous one, which was clearly heroic.
@squalleon: this death was heroic too, and my opinion it was sadder.

Nah, you can see how much of a poor taste that death was because almost no one is surpriced or sad and how even hardcore fans don't care at all.
Seriously, most hardcore Superman fans, didn't even bother to comment here, no one gives a cr@p :P
Nonsense... Really!?
At least I pointed out a simple fact, I'm not whining like a little school girl just because he died.
He died mainly because of his own fault. When things got tough, instead of fighting totally focused, he was still thinking about Lois and got himself defeated like a rookie. And if that wasn't enough he still let himself be used by Darkseid. For him to have this end, he might has well have really died in the begining.
I know I should feel something when good Superman dies – and actually felt that when E2 Superman “died” in the first issue in the battle. But this second, final death is kinda … I don’t know, meaningful?.. In all honesty, it looks like poorly written attempt to clear all that mess with Brutaal-Bizarro.
@holyserpent: ok so what happend here ? Also is he power girls dad ?
@z3ro180: power girl came to earth as little kid and Superman and Lois took her in and raised her. That's why she call Lois and Superman mom and dad ( even though superman is her biological cousin).
Superman was killed in the beginning of earth 2 series, Desaad brought him back to life because he needed a live Superman to make mutiple clones of him. While superman was alive he was kept in prison and away from the clones because his blood was poison to clones. Kal-el sacrifice himself ( the picture above) to destroy clones, once he free by power girl and red tornado.
So wait, talk to me people. How did this guy come back to life after dying in the early stages of Earth 2? And what did he die of? The reviews of this book have been crap so I haven't been paying any sort of attention.

What death do comic book fans care for...besides maybe Uncle Ben and the original Superman death vs. Doomsday?
@jj_was_here: desaad brought him back to life to using apocalypse technology

Most deaths that didn't happen after the 00s. The only death I remember that had an impact recently were E2 Superman in Infinite Crisis, MMH in Final crisis and Peter Parker in Ultimate.
@squalleon: and the death of Superman of earth 2 that just happen, it had a huge impact in DC multiverse
