Superman
Character » Superman appears in 18942 issues.
Sent to Earth as an infant from the dying planet Krypton, Kal-El was adopted by the loving Kent family and raised in America's heartland as Clark Kent. Using his immense solar-fueled powers, he became Superman to defend mankind against all manner of threats while championing truth, justice, and the American way!
Does he really enjoy doing Superman's voice?
Actually, that's just his voice. He doesn't do a special anything for Superman, it's just Tim Daly as Superman.
@jj_was_here: and Newbern?
I can't really tell, I mean he didn't do JL/JLU so I dunno. Plus, what JJ said, he doesn't change his voice at all. Whether it's Tim Daly, Clark Kent, or Superman, it's the same exact voice. A great and iconic voice, but I don't think he enjoys being known for being the VOICE of an animated character versus all the other roles he has played in life. But what do I know? I'm just kind of basing this off of the video.
@ganon15: Not sure about Newbern. Pretty sure it's the same.
Maybe I'm confused. Are you talking about whether he is HAPPY to voice Superman or that he always sounds like Superman?
@jj_was_here: Isn't Kevin the same, like his voice is basically batman, he barely changes it.
@arturocalakayvee: He didn't do JL/U :O
Huh, I guess I have forgotten the difference in the voices between Supeman TAS & JL/U, tho it has been a long time.
Hadn't seen this before, and man, that interviewer was absolutely terrible. Not quite sure where the topic question comes from and how it relates to the video, though.
@2cool4fun: Yeah, George Newbern actually voices Superman in JL/JLU as well as Static Shock and other series

That
@ganon15: It's mother fletching Superman! Of COURSE he's happy to do it.

Then why did he refuse to do Superman's voice for a fan?
@ganon15: You know how when people tell you to do something and you're kind of embarrassed/pressured and you just don't feel it? Maybe that's why. Plus, he always sounds like Superman.

his reason was "I get paid very little money to do Superman's voice"
@humanrocket: Lmao that's priceless.
@ganon15: You're reading far too much into this. Daly isn't a piano monkey and that was his light-hearted, roundabout way of telling the interviewer that.

I guess he isn't as dedicated to it as Conroy is
If that's how you choose to look at it. Daly has been the voice of Superman for almost twenty years but, unlike Conroy, he does have a career outside of the character he voices.
