Hey guys, I'm a casual comic book reader and right now I'm only getting Batman titles. I just wanted to know what was the differences in the characteristics of both titles. Also, since I'm more of a Bat fan and I know general information on Superman, do I need to know much when it comes to picking up Unchained?

There's not a huge difference at the moment since only 2 issues are out, but it seems like unchained is going to deal a bit more with big over the top threats and space threats while the regular title is more earthbound and developing personality. You dont really need to know anything special before picking up Unchained if you start with Issue 1.

Unchained is much, much better. It's written exceptionally well, has spot on characterisation and presents an engaging, intriguing plot. This is wholly lacking in Lobdell's Superman title.

Unchained has barely got off the ground, we really can't say until we are a few issues in. There is going to be some bias on these threads; there are plenty on the forums don't like Lobdell but like SNYDER and will bash ones books and praise the other for that reason. There are some who honestly don't like the styles of the writers, but it is hard to tell who is who. My opinion, as one who likes all the books currently in print, and really enjoyed MOS movie, is to try them out and see for yourself.

Action comics is pretty good IMO, im enjoying it. Unchained is awesome though. Superman has gotten a lot better since it first launched though. Currently im only reading unchained and action comics. Will get superman again once the new team jumps in....but ill probably end up buying all the superman comics anyways since i like to own entire series.
