He's shown as a resident of the Phantom Zone in Action Comics #13.

Yup he is still in the Phantom Zone and Superman has not meat him as of yet.

He could have already met him as of the present time (Superman series.) All we know is that in Action Comics he's still in the Phantom Zone. It all depends on which series they reintroduce him in.

Oh, I was led to believe that it was more recent than the rest of AC, but still prior to current time. Maybe I was mistaken.

You will see a whole lot of Zod ounce the new movie comes out. He'll be showing up a lot more in superman comics
