Each week we take a look at some comic book collectibles. In order to really get a good look at them, we take them out of the package. This week we're going to look at a strange combination of properties from Funko's POP! vinyl figures. DOMO and DC comics characters.

If you've seen any of the POP! figures, you know how hard they are to resist buying. I will admit I really don't know very much about DOMO. We do have one volume of the manga here in our wiki. When I first saw the plush crossover between Domo and the Justice League at this year's New York Toy Fair, I was intrigued (you can see that gallery HERE).

Funko has released a few different figures in their Pop! Heroes line.

It was a tough choice but as you can see, I narrowed it down to two. I went with the blue and yellow Batman out of nostalgia. I was really really tempted get either Green Lantern or Flash as well. I went with Batman and Superman since they are more iconic. I paid $10.99 and couldn't really justify getting the others only because I'm not really a fan of Domo, since I don't know much about it (and yes, I did look up Domo on wikipedia).

Let's be clear, these are not action figures. There is no articulation. You don't necessarily buy these to play with. You buy them because you want them to sit on your desk or wherever you might feel the urge to display them. It would be nice if there was at least articulation in the arms. But it's not necessary.

I am glad they did go with the classic Superman costume, with the underpants on the outside. It might not make much sense but it's what his costume should look like. As I mentioned, it's classic.

Superman also has an "S" on the back of his cape, again, as he should.

Batman has a batarang (which we asked several creators about who is responsible for any injuries caused by them HERE).

Again, it would be nice to be able to lower Batman's arm. But it's a good pose. The batarang is in there pretty solid so you don't have to worry about it breaking off.

Yes, this was my daughter's idea.
Yes, this was my daughter's idea.

There's not a lot of detail and it's not needed. But the clarity of the emblems and the little touches of the belts make these cool and fun. I might have to pick up the others. That's the problem with the Funko figures, you just get the urge to buy them all.

How many Funko/POP figures do you have? Do you want to see more featured here?

Kind of cool, but a little pricey for what it is.

I would buy the batman(the black one, always preferred it over the blue), green lantern, and flash (sorry, not a big superman fan). In the gallery link you posted the flash figure is orange for some reason, but on the back of these boxes he appears the classic red. Do both exist?

I don't get why the didn't make a Wonder Woman one. If you're only making five designs, does their really need to be two Batmen?

Maybe they'll do one in the next series, though this picture of mini ones kinda suggests they'll go with other choices:

I wanna see Martian Manhunter, or Cyborg. Cyborg's hand blaster would be cool, and J'onn's collar is the coolest.

@v_scarlotte_rose: There's seven Batman related figures, three Batmen, two Robins, and Riddler and Two-Face. The Bat makes the money, man.

@kfhrfdu_89_76k: That is not an African American Superman and Batman. lol

It's a well known monster icon in Japan. The monster just appears to have brown skin and his name is Domo.

The Funko pop figures are awesome and just like you said its hard not to collect them all. I have a friend who has over 200 of this things(not just super hero related). I have a few awesome Batman ones both regular and chase. The popularity of Funko seems to be growing more and more each year.

I've been thinking about picking up a Pop! Batman for my desk at work (regular not Domo), but I can't decide if I like the design or not. I always loved the Mighty Muggs design, but they never got any DC licences that I know of.

I have 4 at my desk right now. I picked the characters for the humor I find in them--Deadpool, Domo Flash, Alan & Baby Carlos from The Hangover, and Master Chief. The last one probably doesn't fit my criteria, but it was too cool looking to pass up.

I love the POP figures and I will probably buy all of these. I hate being a completionist sometimes. :-P

Right now I own around 22 including characters from DC, Marvel, Star Wars, and the Walking Dead.
