There are freaking everywhere nowadays. What the heck DC?
Superman
Character » Superman appears in 18941 issues.
Sent to Earth as an infant from the dying planet Krypton, Kal-El was adopted by the loving Kent family and raised in America's heartland as Clark Kent. Using his immense solar-fueled powers, he became Superman to defend mankind against all manner of threats while championing truth, justice, and the American way!
Anyone else sick of evil Superman? -_-
Read the latest issue of earth 2? There's a scene in there which actually made me feel sick. And to answer your question, ya absolutely.
@sanohibiki: I think Ultrman is fine because that's another concept alltogether, this Brutaal stuff is annoying though.
I am actually surprised this overplayed concept still gathers attention. Every second Superman story seems to have an evil Superman of some sorts.
Since the 2011 we had these:
- SuperDoomsday
- SuperDoom
- Superman of Earth 2
- Superman from forever evil (a bit questionable)
- Ultraman
- Injustice Superman
- Justice Lord Superman
I get that this concept is appealing to some, but except being overplayed, it also hurts the character. I read comments on various forums and I see things like "Superman is such a douche, look at what he did to GA in Injustice", especially the general public doesn't see Superman as an inspirational figure anymore, or a hero. And "evil" Superman is something completely opposite to the characters core. While some stories handle it better than others, I can't be particulary happy with the existence of any of those Supermen.
@squalleon: I don't really count Ultraman, and what FE Superman?
I haven't read up on Justice Lord Superman, only from the JLU cartoon.

Ultraman is Superman of his corrupted world; him being evil (or at least amoral, “strength is supreme” Superman) fits to the purpose of his very character; Brutaal, on the other side, eventually became not menacing, but annoying, physiologically unstable and lame corrupted Superman (reminds me sometimes of Superboy-Prime at his worst).
I better not see any Ultraman bashing. Or I will go MoS on everyone.
Doesn't bother me

My point was that most Superman variations in the last few years are somehow "evil" or don't follow the character's main rules. With FE I meant Trinity War Superman. While he was good an all that, the story started with Superman killing! Is he evil no, does he do something Superman shouldn't do, absolutely. All these storylines feature a variation of Superman that he does something Superman shouldn't do or be.
Justice Lord Superman was never as extreme as his JL beyond counterpart. Now he is just evil, he even acts evil (evil laughter and all that), while in the cartoon he was just way more extreme.
I think this is just DC Comics and a lot of writers in different media not knowing how to write the character.
What does that even mean? :P

You mean the Crybabyman...

Search inside your heart.... you'll know
They need to follow up on Pak's Darkseid pitch, have Darky kill every evil version of Superman, everyone's happy.
A lot. Everything at recent times seems to be centered around an evil version of Superman or around a plot which makes SUperman snap and become evil or some sh*t like that. That's the way writers do Superman stories these days which is the saddest part because Superman isn't a symbol of hope anymore and is one of the most onedimensional characters ever.

who did he kill?
Doesn't bother me at all. Superman is the paradigm of good, only nature for people to want to see him corrupted.
@w0nd: Dr. Light, he didn't do it on purpose. Dr. Lights powers were messing with his Iirc.

i thoughts thats who they meant. Yeah that was an accident....
@w0nd: Wasn't it also the Atom who caused it too? Or did she just shove a kryptonite shard in his brain?
