I know a lot of people love Alex Ross' rendition of Superman but I've always found it lacking, his Superman looks fifty, his face is ugly, he looks fat, like he's always sucking his stomach in and Alex draws a mega huge S symbol on his entire torso. It's very annoying.

His KC Superman was really wise and mature-looking

But yes Ross' Super-heroes in general look weird. From their spandex to their faces being old looking. His art works for the KC era though. With older heroes running around. But why would you hate a large S symbol on the torso, it looks magnificent!

Ross’ heroes always looked mature and realistic to me.
