It doesn't spoil the whole movie. There are some pretty big spoilers in there though. I hope he is wrong about one thing in particular.

Based on the trailers, we know Zod uses a death ray. Based on the earliest toys, we know Zod has a robot army. So far, it seems like the Christopher Reeve Superman 2 is still a lot better than this Zod remake so I still predict the new Superman movie will flop. Superman fighting a bunch of idiot robots is just too boring and the new Superman story is also boring.

What stupid, infantile pathetic criticisms. You've given no good basis, no valid criticisms when we have so little to go on for the film and the trailer shows great promise of a mature take on Superman. Go and whine somewhere else you hypocritical sod. I've had enough of people like you whining about things like this. Just stop being so up yourself about these things and occupy your life with other things. What you've said is the epitome of idiocy.

So far, it looks like both Faora and Zod can easily beat up Superman since Superman does not know much kung fu, which is a bit similar to a bronze age Faora story. I prefer to see more evil kryptonian survivors instead of boring robots. If there were lots of kryptonian survivors, they probably would view humans as factory chickens. The problem with the death ray is it is too similar to the star wars death ray and the 2013 gi joe retaliation death ray.

I saw that too. Figured as much. There was another 'leaked' Man of Steel plot synopsis last year that turned out to be false.

In the Superman in chains promo image, Superman looks like a male ballet dancer trying to cover his overexposed crotch. In the fight with Zod, it looks like somebody in aerobics outfit trying to fight somebody in black armor. So the movie looks silly and will flop.

@colonyofcells: I hope you're wrong. If this flops then we can kiss the chance of other DC properties making it to the big screen good bye.

The live action CW tv is doing better. Maybe Warner brothers should approve more live action tv shows. I do prefer weekly tv shows over movies which are only every 2 years. CW has already done Smallville and Justice League with Green Arrow, Aquaman, a speedster and Cyborg so the tv universe was ahead of the New 52 in using Cyborg. The african american John Jones was also started in the Smallville tv show. Maybe CW should do another Superman tv show, try an atlantis tv show again since the last pilot failed, maybe hawkman and hawkgirl on tv ? I think Cw should do Aquaman more as an atlantis super hero rather than a water based super hero. People like Atlantis bec it is interesting/mysterious and not bec. Atlantis is underwater. CW could even do a legacy Justice Society show which got erased from comics. Arrow tv show is using Black Canary as a legacy super hero even though legacy super heroes got frowned upon in New 52.

I'm all for the expansion of Comic Heroes into all different facets of multimedia not just television and movies. Of course you are welcome to your opinion at to your preference but to condemn Man of Steel before ever seeing it isn't giving the project a fair chance.

All of your ideas sound like good ones, why not keep an open mind and give everything an opportunity. Let's enjoy the creative process.

Another problem with the Superman movie costume is that the texture they added looks just like duct tape. I think Warner brothers should just do more tv shows. Cyborg can easily be the new 6 million dollar man or bionic man. Green Lantern when he started in the silver age, was not yet expert in using the ring so he is sort of like the Greatest American Hero.

I agree, the movie isn't even out yet and you have people bashing it? lol Judging a book by it's cover much?

While I look forward to the MOS I bet it'll be far better then Superman Returns, I'll hold final judgement until I see it..

I was right about the flop Green Lantern movie since the costume looked like a well lit christmas tree made out of recycled rubber tires. In the last comicvine podcast, there was some discussion on the serious problems of the Wonder Woman costume if you try to translate it to a live action movie so I am not alone in seeing problems in super hero costumes being translated to live action. Warner brothers has to do a better job of fixing their kiddie properties so they can be accepted by the movie customers. The Transformers movies are a good model to follow on how to translate a kids cartoon into a live action movie for the general public.

@FadeToBlackBolt: Why thank you good sir! :)

@colonyofcells: Did you seriously cite the Transformers films as a good way of adapting a cartoon into a film for the general public? Yeah now you've lost even more credibility with a post like that.

So... colony predicted a movie would flop based on costume design. As a GL fan, the movie flopped because it was bad. *shrug*

The X-Men uniforms were terrible. Sabertooth was ridiculous in all images. Yet, X-Men did quite fine.

However, if you're talking broad-demographic of individuals who know nothing of the books: sure. Fans? No.

Hell, the last Superman images and trailer were just fine. Movie still sucked. Know why? Bad writing.
