Superman helps with a Kryptonite-powered generator test, but something goes wrong and there's a massive explosion. But the explosion's side effect transforms all Kryptonite on Earth into ordinary iron. Good news for Superman - but was there also a downside? Reprinted in Action Comics #485, Superman in the Seventies, Superman: The Greatest Stories Ever Told #2, DC Comics Classics Library: Superman - Kryptonite Nevermore! #1.
