    COMICVINE'S TOP 100 SUPERMAN STORIES #22I feel the same way about comic book remakes as I do about movie remakes; namely, if you are going to go to the trouble to redo something, at least try to improve upon it. If all you're doing is redoing the exact same story in exactly the same manner, the best you can hope for is to equal the original, more likely you will fail to hit that threshold and produce something that is all the weaker given that you had the benefit of hindsight, and the blueprints...

    By all means I should hate Superman: Secret Origin #2. I don't like Smallville so the whole "Lex and Clark knew each other as kids!" thing really grinds me gears (even though Lex is totally different in this comic), I think the Legion is dumb, and I once told somebody that if I had to listen to the origin of Superman or Batman one more time I'd never stop puking.
