Plot Summary

In the 853rd Century--exactly one million months after the dawn of superheroes--humanity prospers in a Utopian society beyond our imagining. From the Data Foundries of the planet Mercury to the floating coral cities of Neptune, the great tradition of Super-heroes lives on. Chief Among them are the magnificent Justice Legion A.

Journeying back to the late 20th century, these heroes of the future invite their ancient predecessors, the Justice League of America, to attend a wonderful celebration of their heroic legacy. Justice Legion A remains behind to safeguard 20th-century Earth.

But no sooner do the core Justice Leaguers arrive in the 853rd century than they are branded as imposters. Escaping the maddened crowd which believes him dangerous, Superman finds sanctuary in his descendants fortress of solitude. It is there that he learns that the villain who has turned the system against him is the deadly computer Solaris, known to history as the greatest enemy of the Superman Dynasty.

Combating such a threat will require the combined strength of the Justice Leaguers; It is clear that these 20th century outsiders must convene at the headquarters of Justice Legion A on Jupiter. But firts, Superman must find a way to get there...

1,000,000 #3 tells of how the evil Solaris is keeping Superman from getting back to his team. The most interesting part, however, is Platinum's telling of the history of the Superman dynasty, which actually gives us a glimpse in to the future. The concept of this story (or story line, for that matter) is brilliant. It is brilliant, however, just because of the originality of the ideas. Yes, some superheroes have time traveled (there are even ones who use time traveling as a power [Booster Gold, Rip Hunter]) but a story told as a story (sounds stupid) is quite brilliant.
