Superman/Batman
Team » Superman/Batman appears in 1080 issues.
Superman and Batman, the two most recognizable characters in comic books, frequently team up to tackle threats that neither of them can handle on their own, each bringing their own special talents to the fore.
Superman/Batman: Public Enemies 2 Being Planned
Have you seen Superman/Batman: Public Enemies yet? As you may know, it was released on DVD, Blu-ray, OnDemand, etc on September 29, 2009. I haven't heard what the sales numbers were but apparently they must be good. Mania has reported that a sequel is 'in the works.'
There's no firm word on what exactly the plot will center on. Most likely it would continue with another of Jeph Loeb's stories from the Superman/Batman comic. Perhaps they'll cover the debut of the current Supergirl?
I would assume they would drop the "Public Enemies" subtitle and go with whatever the plot deals with. I wonder if they would change the art style to mirror whoever the artist was on the arc that they choose to adapt or if they'll try to keep it similar to this first movie. It also makes you wonder if they'll get Kevin Conroy, Tim Daly, etc to reprise their roles yet again.
If it were up to you, what Superman/Batman storyline would you choose?
With a doubt the Supergirl introduction. Include Mr Ironside as the voice of Darkseid again, Throw in Wonder Woman and the Furies and it should be great. Only bad thing is the animation art would like public enemies again, because I don't think they can do Michael Turners style. It would be a great testament to Turner if they could. Doubtful thou.
"If it's the Supergirl arc and they mirror Turner's art then I will love DC/WB forever "
It is definetly going to be the Supergirl arc ,if not it is not going to sell.
I'd like the Supergirl arc, and have Nicholle Tom, Susan Eisenberg and Michael Ironside reprising their roles from JLU
"If they keep Kevin an Tim i have no problems with seeing more of this kinda stuff Batman an Supes stuff. "
Agreed
If they get Joker in the new one, I won't like it unless Mark Hamill does the voice. It just wouldn't be right without him.
I think they should base it off of the introduction of Supergirl. Primarily because the final battle between Superman and Darkseid was awesome.
" I would rather they come up with an origional story for the movie rather than rely on old stories from the comics. "Not me. I want them to make several more films based on current stories before they start doing their own thing.
IT DEFINITELY HAS TO BE "SUPERGIRL FROM KRYPTON"... I mean it's got Wonder Woman and Darkseid in it! WHAT MORE could you want!!!!!
" If they get Joker in the new one, I won't like it unless Mark Hamill does the voice. It just wouldn't be right without him. "
Definitely go with Supergirl's origin story just like in the Second Superman/Batman storyline. The movie would be a lot better, though, if they stick closer to the actual comic. During the first Superman/Batman movie, I was disappointed to not see a couple of scenes, for example, the scene with Nightwing, Robin, and the many other supers rescuing Batman and Superman. I was also quite sad not to see my favorite DC character green lantern appear just like in the comic. I am very confused as to why they didn't include him.
" Hey DC, I want to see KINGDOM COME! And no more simplistic art. I want to see detail. "
