With the recent announcement of the Green Lantern: First Flight animated movie, I think most of us got pretty excited.  That movie won't be released until July.  Ain't It Cool News got the scoop and just announced that they know what is coming after that.  Hopefully we'll see it this year as well.

We can't go wrong with Bruce Timm. I've got to say, when WB/DC nabbed him they got super duper lucky. The man is a genius. Looking forward to this!

Sounds cool to me.

I don't think so. In the original Batman Animated Series, I don't think they ever had a crossover, though they might've.

dude imdb is going to list it because it was released on well i guess vhs at the time but it was originally just a couple of episodes of the superman animated series then they released the episodes combined together into a movie

no war...just me being right  :)  the sad thing is i'm old enough to remember watching those episodes on tv and then getting excited when i got the vhs...i'll have to look around and see if i still have the tape

I wonder what style of animation they'll go for.  As much as I like the "traditional" DC animated look, I'm glad they've steered away from that with these recent releases.  Something fresh.

Based on that plot synopsis, it looks like it could be a prequel to a JLA animated film. The super-help part gave it away...

Wonder when it comes out

it's just slated for 2009 currently... but since First Flight is included in the opening teaser, i'm guessing 3rd or 4th quarter

So Katana and The Atom are the only other heroes besides Superman and Batman that I've seen in the trailer

they appear to have done it strictly by the comic. I would have gone with a more separated universe like Sup: Doomsday, but I can live with it. I'm also not a fan of the Ed McGuiness style drawing, but the animation just looks badass.

This is gonna be awesome. It really looks like it's based on the Superman/Batman comic series. They have a lot of good material there, they should just do another, and another, and another.... as the comics goes on....
