"I have Natural Charm?" - Superman. J. Michael Straczynski (wow, try saying that 10 time fast) continues to take Superman throughout different cities on a questionable walk. All Superman knows is that he is walking, he doesn't care where he goes, however he cares about the people that he meets. With a tale like this, Superman might (has) seen odd things in his walk, however it doesn't really matter. This story is about Superman thinking about the "little" things in life! Artist Eddy Barrows and inker J.P. Mayer joins Superman and J. Michael Straczynski on this walk. Jump on Superman's walk by reading this story.
The Good
From the past issue (701) it lacked action, however it was the story that captured me in the previous issue. This issue had the "right" amount of action and gave an even better story than the past. Artist Eddy Barrows did an incredible job with the faces and expressions, while some of the art went up and down at times, the Interior art was still good. Inker J.P. Mayer did a good job, at helping Eddy with inking on his sketches, in the battle scenes you can see the dark and heavy inking that Mayer did. Really great job both, Eddy and J.P. When Superman appeared as Clark Kent, Clark looked a lot (and I mean a lot) like Christopher Reeve. Who most people know as Superman in the original movies. It was good to see how an artist draws Clark's face like that. Terrific job on that! As this story ended, it made me laugh and cry at the same time, and I never put this comic down at all. Not that many comics "grabs" me like this issue has. My favorite part of this issue was a Dark figure at the end!
The Bad
The constant "heavy and light" drawings was really weird, and it seemed like Eddy and J.P. wanted to make some scenes heavy on ink and not drawn with a light hand, and others light on ink and drawn with extra care. Some scenes were like that others were not.
The Verdict
In the end, Clark calls Lois and they will eventually meet in a little while (issue 703). The art was awesome, the story was incredible and everything turns out for the better. J. Michael Straczynski (still trying to say that 10 times fast?), J.P. Mayer and Eddy Barrows did a awesome job on this story, from the end of issue 700 I was already captured into this amazing story! Now it ends even more amazing! At the end a Dark figure or Dark Knight appears at the end. That character is Batman! However the strange part about it is that, he has a different utility belt! What could this mean?!? Is it Bruce or just a awesome picture of Batman (always watching everyone). Don't know. However Batman is a Dark Knight, he is someone that you don't want to mess with! Overall this is a 5 out of 5. The Dark Knight Lives!
The Story Superman continues his epic walkabout, which has brought him to "somewhere in Detroit". Along the way he encounters many normal detroiters and some not so normal ones. All while helping out when and where opportunities present themselves. The Good Let's where should I start.... Well first in comparison to issue #701 which was really...
The Storyline: Superman continue walking down the street as he comes across more situations and moments that would answer our questions about the Man of Steel on how he would interact with certain situations that we naturally go through. The Good: - The artwork is great and also keeps the flow of this comic moving, helping the audience understand what is going on and most of all is how Supermans expression is shown after certain events and situations in this comic. - The storyline for this comi...
