Look at the cover - this is what Superman has become

The post-War period is one of the worst eras of the Superman comics. The stories are both jokey and hokey, probably because America had had it's fill of adventure, and wanted a light-hearted release more than action and bad guys. Take this issue for example, which (again) has Lois Lane become 'Superwoman' (last time it was a dream, and this time again it's not real). A couple dim-witted stage magicians wave a wand and give her the powers of Superman - initially to the delight of all except Superman who has to go around using his own powers to make it seem real (yeah - don't ask). The story reads like a bad Three Stooges episode, complete wid oh, wiseguy accents, youse guys! Not nearly as hysterical (or historical) as it would like to be.
