    H'el on Krypton

    Disclaimer:

I didn't read H'el on Earth so I don't have much familiarity with the character.

After the events of H'el on Earth, H'el was hurtled into Krypton's past. This is the story of what happens then.

    The Good:

This issue deliver's H'el's complete origin without leaving any questions on the table. I really liked the thoroughness of it. I also enjoyed seeing how the Science Council of Krypton felt about Jor-El and some of the nature of his experiments. This little tidbit really played well into seeing how the Council viewed him and not taking some of his claims seriously. H'el's compassion for Jor-El before learning the truth of his origin was also well done.

    The Bad:

H'el's origin may leave some readers with a bad taste in their mouths. It's definitely a twist that some might not have been expecting. The ending also cast some confusion but should be cleared up when we see the character again.

    Thoughts:

All in all, I enjoyed this. It was well done and the art by Jurgens & McCarthy was also very good.

    3.5/5
