    Superman deals with the aftermath of an event known only as the Vanishing. It is revealed that while off earth, a million people just vanished. Superman views this as a huge failure, as he believes he should have been there. Included in the Vanishing is his wife, Lois Lane. He begins to talk to a Priest.

    There are certainly those comic book fans out there who regard Superman as a boring character, as his abilities make him nearly unbeatable.  What fans fail to realize though that it is the strength of a character and the writer behind it that make a story interesting and not what that character can do.  An excellent example is this issue.  Superman finds himself somewhat adrift in his frustration over the Vanishing (the disappearance of one million people, including Lois).  Instead of turning to...
